Is it cost-effective to print a paperback webcomic book?

Is it cost-effective to print the paperback?

Yes... It's cost-effective mostly because all I have to do is upload the book to Kindle Direct Publishing and it takes care of the rest like the printing and shipping.

So, cost-effective in the sense that I only have to do one thing, and then Amazon KDP just continues to sell and make the book.

There is a cost to having it printed that depends on the book size (amount of pages and/or measurements) or if it's in color or black & white.

My latest webcomic book, "Bobert and the Monster", the first issue is only 24 pages, and it's in full color. After the book printing fees, to actually have it printed, I would have to charge $5 for it. For a 24-page book at $5, I might not sell as many printed versions because that's just too much! So I'm just making an ebook version of that book.

As for my diary comic "Then This Happened...", that is a big, thick book with over 100 pages. The printing cost for that one is around $4.50 in black & white. So saying that book is $9, to make a profit from it isn't that outlandish for a book that size.

So, yes, aside from that printing cost, the book is very cost-effective if it has a lot of pages for a physical copy.
