Artist Harvey Kurtzman's book of photo satire about celebrities from the 1960s.

I love to collect old illustrated books at resale shops and thrift stores. I love to look at them for drawing inspiration.

I love the artwork of cartoonist Harvey Kurtzman but here is a book I picked up specifically because it actually doesn't feature any drawings, which I found odd. It's from the early 1960s and it's called "Who Said That?"

By the way, I also have to resell them to help support my habit so you can see a bunch of the vintage illustrated books I have in my eBay store!

I love that an artist who's artwork was so popular in comic books and MAD Magazine was asked to do a satire book about celebrities of the time chose just to use photos.

The funny thing is the speech bubbles he used are still pretty stylish.

Then the artwork on the pages goes sideways for some reason?

And even at the end of the book, he had a section of pages that were basically "Hey why don't you write your own jokes for me?" as you can see in the photo above.
